Integrating GIS with Transportation Asset Management for More Efficient Management Track: Transportation Author(s): Vernon Miller, Richard Montague Vernon Miller of the Sacramento County Department of Transportation with Rick Montague of Hansen Information Technologies will present this discussion. Miller will describe how tightly integrating the County’s transportation GIS data with asset management will enable more efficient work management and control. When coupled this way, the County receives location and attribute data on any asset in one system specifically designed for transportation. With this in mind, Miller and Montague will describe scenarios where this wealth of information can improve how the County performs and meets its goals.
